Hunter, David James

Lieutenant David James Hunter (RNVR)
was born on 7th April 1914 of Waterford House, Lodge Road, Coleraine. He was of Presbyterian faith. 
On 1st March 1935 Hunter joined Northern Bank at Head Office.  Transfers followed to Shankill (1935), Connswater (1936), Randalstown (1939) and Head Office (1941). 
On 5th June 1940 he enlisted.  He was ‘Called up for Active Service’ on 19th May 1941 into the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve as a Rating.  Promotions to Sub-Lieutenant followed. 
Hunter resumed duty with Northern Bank at Head Office in 946.  Transfers followed to Falls (1947), Crumlin Road (1950), Ballymoney (1953) and Head Office (1961).
